Anhkiet (Dollar) Hoang is a civil litigator. When he was born in Vietnam, Dollar’s parents gave him his nickname. With the same parents, Dollar immigrated to the U.S pursuant to the Refugee Act of 1980. Dollar grew up in Houston and then earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in political science and sociology at Tulane University. Subsequently at Duke University Law School, Dollar witnessed a national basketball championship and graduated. While at Duke Law, Dollar pursued his interest in international law by performing research on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for Professor Ernest A. Young and serving on the student International Criminal Court.

Before joining Bush+Ramirez, Dollar managed a broad variety of immigration cases from asylum merit hearings to EB-5 investment-based visa petitions. During his time representing immigration clients, Dollar also was lead attorney on several cases for the plaintiff’s side on matters such as personal injury and corporate conversion.

Dollar is not only a lawyer, but also a world traveler who has been to 31 countries and a father who raises his daughter with his wife.
