About Suzette
Overview
Suzette earned her undergraduate degree in molecular biology, graduating cum laude from the Honors College before attending the University of Mississippi School of Law. Her scientific background continues to influence the analytical and investigative approach she brings to factual and causation issues in litigation. She approaches litigation with precision and a business-focused mindset, balancing assertive advocacy with practical, cost-effective solutions. Energetic and detail-oriented, she believes effective advocacy begins with building genuine rapport and maintaining credibility and integrity.
Outside the office, Suzette is usually outdoors. She’s an avid mountaineer who has climbed several of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks, logs miles trail running, and loves backcountry camping. She’s an archery hunter who lives for fall hunts and SEC football.
Experience
Before joining Bush and Ramirez, Suzette built her career defending railroad companies in employee-injury, occupational exposure, and retaliation disputes. She later expanded into federal contracting and regulatory compliance issues, advising clients before administrative agencies, before moving into insurance defense as insurer-appointed counsel for trucking, personal-injury, and construction defect cases.
