About Nathaniel
Overview
Prior to joining Bush & Ramirez, PLLC, Nathaniel worked at a national law firm focusing on insurance defense and consumer litigation, with experience on both the plaintiff and defense sides across all aspects of civil litigation, including automobile and construction-related matters.
Experience
Nathaniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, with a minor in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas. He was as captain of the mock trial team and was a member of both the National Political Science Honor Society and the International Honor Society in Philosophy.
He earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, where he received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship Award and multiple CALI Awards. While in law school, he was a member of the South Texas Oil and Gas Society and worked as a law clerk at a transactional oil and gas firm, assisting with the preparation of title opinions.
Nathaniel represents businesses, contractors, and property owners in civil litigation. His experience includes:
- First-chaired a jury trial victory for a restaurant franchise owner, resulting in a take-nothing judgment on claims for trespass and conversion.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a homeowner’s association and its management company under the Texas Recreational Use Statute, disposing of all premises liability claims alleging negligence, gross negligence, and vicarious liability.
- Secured summary judgment for a subcontractor against claims for breach of contract, breach of warranty, indemnity, and negligence.
- Represented a general contractor in a high-exposure dispute involving a homeowner’s association and condominium unit owner, achieving a favorable resolution.
