Overview
Matt is a seasoned attorney who brings a diverse background to the table. With experience in personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, and financial and securities fraud, Matt works with his clients to resolve novel issues. His practice is focused on civil defense litigation, including personal injury, premises liability, trucking accidents, and negligence.
Experience
Matt has over a decade of experience working on complex cases. Prior to joining Bush & Ramirez, Matt worked as a senior litigator at a Houston boutique litigation firm, focused on high-value construction defect and personal injury matters. Before that, as an Enforcement Attorney with the State Securities Board, Matt investigated and litigated complex financial fraud cases. He has extensive experience preparing complex cases for trial and has tried numerous cases to jury verdict.
Outside of his litigation practice, Matt serves on the Charities Committee for Night Court, a Houston-based nonprofit that has raised and distributed over $1,000,000 to Houston-area organizations that provide free legal services. He also serves as President of the Board of Directors for Pride Chorus Houston, a local nonprofit arts organization.
