With over 20 years of experience, Laura Slay focuses her practice in the areas of civil litigation matters, including representing clients in retail and hospitality industry, premises, liability premises, dram shop, products liability, property damage, professional liability and malpractice litigation for engineers/architects/insurance agents, oilfield accidents, construction defect litigation and insurers in insurance coverage cases. Laura’s primary focus is the client and she takes pride in providing each client with the support and representation they are entitled to. Prior to joining Bush + Ramirez, she was a shareholder at another Houston defense firm, Rymer, Echols, Slay & Nelson-Archer since 2003. Laura was named one of Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars in Texas Monthly Magazine and the Super Lawyers publication to licensed Texas attorneys in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. She is an experienced trial lawyer with experience in multiple counties in throughout the state of Texas.

She graduated with honors, Cum Laude, from the University Of Houston Law Center. She was an Articles Editor for the Journal of Health Law and Public Policy. While at the University of Houston Law Center, she served as a judicial intern for Justice Tim Taft of the First Court of Appeals.

Laura Slay was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2005 and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
