Kevin Markowski

Kevin Markowski is a construction attorney. His practice focuses on construction law, construction litigation, architects and engineers errors and omissions (A&E E&O), and civil defense. He has extensive experience helping owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals navigate complex disputes and is known for his depth of industry knowledge and client-centered approach.

Overview

Kevin represents clients in a wide range of construction and design-related matters, including construction and design defect claims, professional negligence claims, contractual and payment disputes, and other claims arising from construction projects. He also counsels architects, engineers, and other design professionals on risk management matters, including contractual risk allocation and strategies for avoiding and mitigating potential claims.

Experience

Prior to joining Bush & Ramirez, Kevin handled construction disputes involving owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and insurers. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant County Attorney in the General Counsel Division of the Harris County Attorney’s Office, with an emphasis on transactional real estate matters, consumer protection litigation, and advising local governmental entities. Kevin also served as General Counsel to his family’s electrical contracting firm after previously apprenticing in the field, giving him firsthand industry experience that continues to inform his practice. 

Kevin earned his J.D. from Baylor University and his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. He also holds an M.A. in Global Affairs from Rice University. He is passionate about the Aggies, the Astros, and the Texans.
