Jason’s practice is devoted to complex commercial and business litigation, insurance defense, directors’ & officers’ liability, errors & omissions, employment litigation, products liability, premises liability, auto liability, inadequate security, bad faith, liquor liability (dram shop), and wrongful death. With a proven track record, he is often called upon to appear in high-stakes litigation matters.
Jason has a reputation for aggressively and efficiently defending cases in state and federal courts, both locally and nationwide. Regardless of the complexity of the matter, he approaches all cases from the client’s perspective. Jason also uses his expertise to reach settlements and avoids litigation costs for his clients. Insurance Litigation
- Represented national insurer in first party litigation against its insureds for fraud, conspiracy and breach of contract claims.
- Trial and arbitration experience includes insurance fraud, breach of contract, insurance coverage, trucking and automobile accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death.
Commercial Litigation
- Defended championship boxer featured on The Contender in TRO and breach of contract claims brought by his former promoter/manager.
- Representation of fuel distributor against breach of contract and various DTPA claims.
- Representation of orthopedic surgeon involving non-compete contract with a Travis County hospital.
- Representation of drilling contractor in TRO and breach of contract dispute against multiple Chinese oil rig suppliers.
- Represented railroad regarding the transportation obligations in a contract dispute for carriage of polypropylene.
- Successfully prosecuted breach of contract and DTPA claim against franchisor.
- Negotiated favorable settlements of defaulted promissory notes on behalf of major financial institution against various commercial entities.
Construction Litigation
- Successfully negotiated favorable settlement for general contractor of forty-four video stores across eight different states regarding construction defects.
- Assisted in defending and prosecuting multiple claims arising from the failure of turbine blades. Each case involved seven-figures worth of damages.
Tort Litigation
- Representation of national non-profit organization in sexual molestation, drowning, and personal injury claims.
- Successfully defended major retail department store regarding an alleged defective child car seat.
- Defended multiple cases involving personal injuries caused by oil field equipment failure.
- Successfully defended real estate agent malpractice case.
