About Alan
Overview
Alan has successfully represented general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners in contract disputes, residential and commercial construction and design defect claims, payment disputes, warranty claims, mechanic’s and materialman’s liens and bond claims, contested property divisions, landlord-tenant disputes, as well as business-related disputes. His experience also includes labor and employment disputes, insurance defense, professional liability, premises liability, and securities arbitration.
He has experience resolving matters for clients in state and federal courts, private or administered arbitrations, and administrative hearings. In addition, Alan handles contract drafting and negotiations for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals.
Experience
Prior to practicing law, Alan attended Hampden-Sydney College where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Commerce. He was named a Patrick Henry Scholar and an Academic All-American as a member of the baseball team. Upon graduation, Alan obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law where he was named to the Dean’s Honor list and awarded the CALI Excellence Award for Admiralty and Texas Oil, Gas and Land Title.
