E.R. approaches each legal matter with creative thinking and client-focused problem solving. His background in journalism adds value to clients by strengthening the fact investigation process and helping deliver big-picture advice in a clear a concise manner. He makes time to track and study the latest trends and legal developments relevant to a client’s business. This process helps with analyzing the strength and weakness of a client’s position in real time and achieving the best possible result. With experience in state and federal court matters, E.R.’s practice areas include insurance coverage disputes, complex commercial litigation, consumer-based claims, contract disputes and insurance defense.

 

E.R. attended Lamar University and received his B.S. in broadcast journalism. He is an alumni of The Washington Center and The Fund for American Studies and has worked with various news and media organizations in Southeast Texas.  He attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he received his J.D. He participated in legal clinics, moot court and negotiation competitions.

Second-chair defense verdict in Dallas County jury trial against national retailer where plaintiff asked jury to award over $3 million in damages.

Negotiated plaintiff’s voluntary dismissal of claims against commercial property owner where plaintiff alleged $4 million in breach of contract damages.

Obtained full summary judgment on breach of contract and consumer protection claims in favor of regional rental company.
